china girls bbs

For whatever reason, my computer’s settings are all messed up. I went away for a while and my family did some crazy Chinese things to it. It’s like, most things are still English… but there are three main problems:
1) My MSN looks like this:

I can’t change my font from the “fob” font, even though when I press the font button, it says Trebuchet MS, my normal font. Also, the ad’s in Chinese, thus proving that some crazy Chinese thing is happening.

2) My clock is set on 24 hours, and all the months and dates and stuff are in Chinese.

3) Some notifications (ie. HP inviting me to do updates, Bonjour service telling me to install stuff) are in CHINESE. =/

How can I change this? Originally, there were some Chinese writing programs installed, but I deleted ALL of them, yet all this Chinese stuff is still around.
Err, I use Windows Vista by the way – the instructions are good, but on Vista, only “Date and Time” appear on the Control Panel.

can I translate chinese movies into english or get subtitles on them I have a few movies in chinese and I can’t understand them. is the any soft wear made in to windows vista computers that can do this?

I have started dating a Chinese woman. She speaks English of course (German and Mandarin too…she’s so smart!), but I think it would be nice to send her a note that I’ve written in her native language. There’s no reason other than because I think she’ll like it, but I want to make sure that I find a service that is quick and will be accurate. The letter is 311 words long.

I want to make sure it to find someone who will take 10 minutes to ensure that the meaning of what I am saying is preserved in the translation, and that it is not just stuck into an online translator and edited in a few spots. If anyone has a good idea, please advise! Thanks
