What triggered many corporations to move their manufacturers to China?

I know the name of the game in business is profit but what supported it? was it politics, business trend, greed….?

    You could say it all coming down to profit.

    When you could pay Chinese worker about 1$/hour verse 15$/hour.

    And American Consumers should share the blame too , they want to buy thing on the cheap to save the money.

    with the ratio 15:1, same amount of money, 15$ can produce 15 products in china, take 15$ to produce 1 product in America. That’s a no brainer there.

    In the name of free Trade, NAFTA killed American manufacturing base.
    Until the rest of the world catching up with standard of linving( gdp/capita) with the US, the us manufacture will keep bleeding.
